Book fairs play an essential role in the publishing industry and in particular in the Arab world, where fairs are geared towards the public and are where most Arab publishers sell their greatest number of books each year. A number of book fairs in the Southwest Asian and North African (SWANA) region can be interesting for European publishers to get a better sense of what is being published, and to meet with publishers and authors.

The LEILA team will be present at some book fairs in the Middle East and in Europe in 2023 to introduce the project to professionals and the wider audience:
- Beyrouth Livres on Friday 6 October 2023, at the professional meeting
- Frankfurt Buchmesse on Thursday 19 October 2023, 1pm: “The LEILA project” and Friday 20 October 2023, 5pm: “Arabic Literatures in Europe – Institutions of Mediation“)
- Sharjah International Book Fair on Sunday 29 and Monday 30 October 2023 at the Publishers Conference
- London Book Fair on Wednesday 13 March 2024 : “LEILA : highlighting outstanding Arabic titles to publishers in Europe“
- Abu Dhabi Book Fair on Thursday 2, 5pm: “Beyond borders: enhancing access to Arabic literature through translation and indexing” and Friday 3 May 2024.
