Who we are

The LEILA project is funded by the European Union programme Creative Europe, designed, implemented and led by iReMMO (France), in partnership with ATLAS (France), BOZAR / Mahmoud Darwish Chair (Belgium), and Fédération Tunisienne des Éditeurs (Tunisia).

iReMMO (France), is an independent think tank focusing on the Middle-East and the Mediterranean region. Through its various activities, it contributes to promoting knowledge of the region’s social, cultural, economic, and strategic challenges.

ATLAS (France), is a cultural non-profit association promoting literary translation. It organises multiple events around translation, hosts a one-of-a-kind residency for translators, and develops international cooperation and training programs for translators.

BOZAR / Mahmoud Darwish Chair (Belgium), is one of Europe’s major multidisciplinary cultural institutions. Among other events, it organises literary talks with the Mahmoud Darwish Chair, inviting confirmed and emerging authors from the Arab world.

Fédération Tunisienne des Éditeurs (Tunisia), is an independent association of 11 publishers created in 2018. It is a free space for discussion, analysis, and information, to structure and promote the publishing profession in Tunisia.
