Haneen Al-Sayegh is a Lebanese poet and novelist, born in Maasraiti, Lebanon, in 1986. She holds a BA in English Language and Literature, and an MA in teaching English Language Curricula from the American University of Beirut. She works in teaching and is a literary translator. She has published three poetry collections: Let It Be (2016), Old Soul (2018), and Beacons for Misleading Time (2021). The Women’s Charter (2023) is her first novel and was translated into German and published in March 2024 by DTV Publishing. She was awarded the prestigious Naji Noaman Literary Award. She lives in Beirut and Berlin.
