Adam Talib is an award-winning translator of Arabic literature into English. His translations include The Hashish Waiter by Khairy Shalaby, Sarmada by Fadi Azzam, and The Dove’s Necklace by Raja Alem (a collaboration with Katharine Halls). He is currently translating Ahmed Awny’s 2018 novel, Some Achieve Greatness. He is also co-editor of the journal Middle Eastern Literatures and Associate Professor of Classical Arabic Literature at the American University in Cairo.
