Khaled Osman is a literary translator from Arabic into French. He has translated a large number of novels by writers from Egypt and other Arab countries. He has won several translation awards: the Prix de l’Académie Française for his translation of two novels by Najib Mahfuz, and two awards for his translation of Gamal Ghitani’s The book of illuminations

He is the author of two novels initially published by the publishing house Vents d’ailleurs and currently re-issued by Les Défricheurs. These are Le Caire à corps perdu and La colombe et le moineau.
