Dar Al Saqi was founded in 1991 and publishes fiction and non-fiction including translated literature and children’s books. It has published numerous award-winning authors such as Mohammed Arkoun, Adonis, Nawal Al Saadawi, Shirin Ebadi, and Jabbour Douaihy, and as a publishing house received a Sheikh Zayed award in 2016. It is the sister company of Saqi Books in London, which was founded in 1983.

Rania Moallem is the Editorial manager of Dar Al Saqi.
