The following is a list of authors whose works are recommended by the LEILA project’s jury members who are Arabic literature specialists, translators, and writers. Certain authors are present on the site without a particular book recommendation because jury members felt they should be mentioned regardless. The book recommendations were chosen with European publishers in mind, for those who would like to discover more about authors and books from the Arab world. When available, contact information for foreign rights (author, agent, or publisher) is provided.
